This paper describes a diffusion method for producing a holographic recording material which avoids the traditional laborious emulsion-forming methods for producing AgBr grains in gelatin films. Light sensitive ultra-fine AgBr grains can be introduced into thin films of a number of natural or synthetic polymers even if they are somewhat. The record of the electron wave diffraction is then used to optically synthesize the object field. This allowed the use of the optics of visible light for image formation, and was much easier and more developed compared to electron optics. He named the new imaging principle holography, for its ability to record the whole optical field [ 1–3].

Keywords: digital holography, holographic interferometry 1. Introduction Dennis Gabor [1–3] invented holography in as a method for recording and reconstructing the amplitude and phase of a wavefield. The word holography is derived from the Greek words ‘holos’ meaning ‘whole’ or ‘entire’ and ‘graphein’ meaning ‘to write’. Our research group has developed a new photopolymer which may be used as a holographic recording material. It is easy to prepare in layers of the desired thickness and has a lower potential toxicity than conventional materials. It is characterized by being environmentally friendly, since it does not contain any petroleum-derived solvents or other components classified as toxic, biotoxic. Selected papers on holographic recording materials. Bellingham, Wash., USA: SPIE Optical Engineering Press, © (OCoLC) Document Type: Book: All Authors / Contributors: Hans I. Holograms - Recording Materials and Applications covers recent advances in the development of a broad range of holographic recording materials including ionic liquids in photopolymerisable materials, azo-dye containing materials, porous glass and polymer composites, amorphous chalcogenide films, Norland optical adhesive as holographic recording material and organic photochromic materials Cited by: Early holograms were recorded on photographic plates, and today such plates are still the most common holographic recording medium.

However, the nature of the holographic process, plus the development of high-power coherent light sources, invited the use of materials other than photographic by: This paper describes a new class of recording materials for volume holographic applications suitable to meet commercial manufacturing needs.

These next-generation holographic photopolymers have. An exact method of the evaluation of the effects of the finite spatial resolution of the recording material on the reconstructed holographic image is presented in this : István Bányász.

Abstract. The invention of holography by Denis Gabor 2 in initiated a new direction in information r, because of limitations such as unavailability of coherent light sources, holography lay dormant for almost a discovery of the off-axis holographic technique by Leith and Upatneiks 2 in and the development of highly coherent laser sources created waves of.

Recent developments in this field as well as some of the advantages and drawbacks of currently available recording materials for holography are reviewed. Citation Download Citation P. Dear Colleagues, Driven by the impact of the holographic principle and the field of visionary holographic applications (real-time 3D-display devices, (ultra-) high density volume data storage, 3D-microscopy at the atomic scale), several research groups have focussed their work on the study and development of appropriate.

Holographic Materials and Optical Systems covers recent research achievements in the areas of volume holographic optical elements and systems, development of functionalized holographic recording materials, and applications in holographic imaging and metrology.

Designs of single and multiplexed volume holographic optical elements for laser beam shaping, combining, and redirection.

It should be noted that the recording of the phase is important because it is the phase which gives the impression of depth during the reproduction of the object wave front by stereoscopy.

After recording, each element on the surface of the holographic plate contains all the information of the initial object field seen from a given angle.

In this paper we report on a holographic method used to record fast events in the nanosecond time scale. Several frames of the expansion of shock waves in air and in a polymer sample are recorded holographically in a single shot experiment, using a pulse train generated with a single pulse from a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser.

The time resolution is limited by the laser pulse width, which is ns. Figure: Recording process in holography.

Reconstruction of image. In the reconstruction process, the hologram is illuminated by laser beam and this beam is called reconstruction beam. This beam is identical to reference beam used in construction of hologram. The hologram acts a diffraction grating. Holographic recording materials.
